Desperate Times in Geekdom

From today's headlines:
Graduation rates for students majoring in Computer Science have so seriously failed to keep pace with demand that the IT industry is weighing a proposal to "write the damn software correctly the first time," according to approximately a bazillion industry sources who declined to be named. This radical departure from conventional business practices prompted initially favorable reactions from within the sector, including a couple gajillion other anonymous sources who noted such near-term advantages  as "shipping a product without major bugs would be really cool" and "we could stop beta testing stuff on users."

Thank God for my cousins.

Really?
Would that I had more time to throw down (being hung down, brung down, & hung up) about what's up. Indeed, it's been a long time since I rock and rolled.

Unfortunately for the more sententious among us (such as myself) I don't have the raw processing power to bloviate adequately. I'm far too concerned with weighty trivialities such as how to recreate your VPN connection and why the onsite tech fixed your fan error but disabled your sound. Being so concerned with day by day concerns (and second person plurals), it would appear that my priorities are out of step with the long term. Someday I'm gonna be sorry. Meanwhile, for the delay of fodder - I am, um, sorry.
